Alaska's Newest Ski Area
Down but not out! Lift Closure and Hike-to terrain.
Skeetawk’s lift had a mechanical failure on 1/16/21. The lift will be closed until further diagnostics and repairs can be completed. Due to the nature of being in our first year of operations, we are consulting with the lift manufacturer on diagnostics and repairs which are currently ongoing. A plan is in place to repair the lift and the timeframe is dependent on weather, supply availability, and travel. At this point in time we will not have lift operations this weekend and remain on a to be determined status for normal operations.
This weekend Skeetawk is committed to remain OPEN with alternative operations! Our parking lot will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. $5 parking fee (pay inside the yurt). Free parking for season pass holders and members.
In lue of lift access skiing Skeetawk has 3 main options for skiers and riders this weekend

We will open Altitude run to uphill travel! Come into the Yurt, purchase an uphill access ticket and earn your turns! We have been powder deprived until this last storm and we don’t want to save a powder day for later. We have 6 inches of new snow to come play on!
